Programming language Julia made it to a list of the top 50 programming languages in the world last month. Before that, in 2015, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Spectrum magazine ranked Julia at number 33.
Julia is among a new breed of open source languages that are gaining popularity. One of the co-creators of the language is a 33-year-old computational scientist from Bangalore, Viral Shah. We caught up with Shah earlier this month to talk about studies, the future of computing and Julia. Watch this video to know more about him.
