The search giant’s investment in Dunzo, coming just five months after its Halli Labs acquisition, is the start of what will be a busy buyout season for Google in India — it is in talks with at least half a dozen startups.
Hyperlocal concierge and delivery company Dunzo is tiny compared to some of its rivals. But it makes up for size in execution, and is worth watching to see what a successful company in this extremely tough space has to get right in order to survive.
