We got a nine-year-old to review the YouTube Kids app for us, and she thinks it’s pretty cool

At last, the most awaited app, YouTube Kids, is now in India. The app is a really good one for us kids. I have everything I like to watch on Youtube on YT Kids now. Like I love to watch Rosanna Pansino baking her cakes and doing her food challenges and now I can watch her on a better and safer place. I love to watch Kamri Noel and her quirky characters do all sorts of stuff and now I can see it without inappropriate videos on the sidebar.

On YouTube, whenever I was on the home page or looking for a video I would see at least one inappropriate video like ‘How to kiss your girlfriend’ or something like that. I would also see random videos like ‘My girlfriend and I break up’ or whatever that is. But now, you can see your videos without all that rubbish.

I would like some more content like music videos as there are not many and most of the good ones are not there. I love to listen to music from artists like Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars. There are covers, but most of them are not that ‘wow’.

It does not have a comments section, unlike YouTube, where there are a lot of swear words and random things. (There are random comments like ‘My number is 23152422. Please call me. I is* Taylor Swift’ ). I can assure you that on YT Kids every video is safe and fun for us children.

However, I would like some more content like music videos as there are not many and most of the good ones are not there. I love to listen to music from artists like Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars. There are covers, but most of them are not that ‘wow’.

There are some pretty awesome channels too, like The Haschack Sisters, Cool School, Brooklyn and Bailey and JoJo Siwa. I’m sure you are wondering why I like them. They have videos like ‘ The Smoothie Challenge’ or ‘The Pizza Challenge’ which are really fun to watch.

YT Kids is an awesome app for every kid from the ages of 2-12. It has everything for every kid, from toy reviews to challenges, Chu-Chu TV to MattyBRaps, and many other things. You will find something or the other which is interesting.

A good thing about YT Kids is that the advertisements are only about YT Kids. They have cute characters which say ‘We’ll be back after this ad’ and then they’ll have an ad on how you can search for vowels on YT Kids or something like that. I think it is a very good idea that you have ads only about your app because, trust me, I have seen quite a few cringey advertisements.

I think Netflix KIDS and YT Kids can be compared, but, if I have to pick a winner I’d say it would be Netflix Kids, as it has movies too, and a little more variety than YT Kids. I like to watch things like Richie Rich and My Babysitter’s a Vampire on Netflix Kids.

Overall, I think YT Kids is a great app for kids, and, I’m telling you, if you want a safe and good app for videos for kids, switch to YT Kids right now, honestly.

(*Not a grammar mistake. People on YT have probably never gone to English classes.)
